Flu Free Winter

I have given you 4 different kinds of Fresh juices that are packed with valuable vitamins and minerals. These will just help boost you and help you to deal with the cold  winter months ahead. The recipes  will give your immune system a hefty boost to protect you against  cold and flu.

                                                      The Master Smoothie

It is rich in Beta-carotene, potassium, calcium, Iron, zinc, chlorophyll, essential fats, good proteins and excellent carbohydrates, its also has antioxidants.

  • 4 golden delicious apples
  • 2 sticks of celery
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1 cup of broccoli
  • ½ yellow pepper
  • ½ red pepper
  • ¼ lime
  • flesh of 1 ripe avocado

Juice the apples, the celery, carrots, spinach, broccoli, peppers and lime together . Place the  flesh of the avo in a blender and then add  the juice.

Whiz for 1 min, pour into a glass and enjoy.It may be thick but it is easy for the body to digest.

                                                          Pineapple smoothie

Get up and go smoothie … in this case the thought of having green veggie in the morning is not quite what we are used to, however this juice is beautiful sweet and packed with power.The combination of pineapple and apple makes it a fantastic system cleaner.

Packed with Vit C , dietry fibre and folic acid and beta-carotene.

The ginger aids the digestion system, the lime gives it a kick as well as providing with folic acid, beta carotene, vit C and calcium from the other ingredients.

  • 1 small pineapple topped, tailed and peeled.
  • 2 apples of your choice
  • 4 good handfuls of spinach
  • 2 ½ cm of root ginger
  • 5 cm fennel
  • ¼ lime

Cut the pineapple and apples into feeder chute size and juice,a handy tip is to bunch the spinach up really tight in the feeder and follow it by feeding through something hard like apples.

Put the ginger, fennel and lime through midway as well.

Once all juiced pour into a glass and enjoy.

                                                         Green power smoothie

This is a meal in a glass ,so take your time with it and drink it only enough to make you full.

  • 2 sticks celery
  • ½ small cucumber
  • 3 royal Gala apples
  • 2 ½cm fresh ginger
  • 2 cups spinach
  • ½ small pineapple
  • ½ lemon peeled
  • flesh of 1 avocado

Juice everything apart from the avocado .

Pour the juice in to the blender and add the  flesh of the avocado and give it a whiz.

Pour into the a glass and enjoy.

                                                                Beetroot boost

Raw beetroot is not on top of most kids list!!!!but it is unbelievable good for them. Beetroot is one of natures finest blood builder. The nutrients in the juice are good for your brain function, great for their growing bones, extremely hydrating, they are also antibacterial, help you with constipation and are excellent for nails, hair and skin .

This is an all round amazing juice. If their urine or poops turns red don’t panic.

It’s the beetroot.

  • 2 apples (golden delicious or royal gala)
  • 1 small raw beetroot raw
  • 1 small broccoli stem
  • ½ celery stick
  • 2 ½ cm slice cucumber
  • 1cm slice pineapple
  • 1 lime peeled

Put the apple followed by the beetroot, broccoli, celery, cucumber, pineapple  and lime . Juice the lot.

This is very tasty
