Mince Pie filling
1 jar of Robertsons Mincemeat classic or something like that .
- 150g flour
- 125g butter
- 1 dessert spoon of caster sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 teaspoon of ice water
Mix the flour and butter together,add the sugar, add the salt.
Beat the egg until light and fold into the dry mixture.
Add the ice water if need be to make a smooth round ball of pastry.
Place the pastry in the fridge for one hour to cool.
Then roll thinly out onto a floured surface and use a cutter or a glass if you dont have one to make the round shape .
Butter your mold tray before placing the pastry into it.
Put a large teaspoon of mince meat in each case and use a little water around the edgers to place the second pastry layer on.
Bake at 200 C until golden brown.10-15 min
Take out the oven let it cool and sprinkle icing sugar on top to give it a christmas look
