Fruit in Season


Fig :Fresh figs are ideally eaten fresh from the tree. They should be dark purple, feel soft. The other veriaties are green from Marseillaise and the grey are from France .The Fig has several minerals and vitamins.

The dried figs have more nutritional value than fresh figs do.

Vit K, Vit B6 , magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron and copper.

They are also anti-oxidants.Cut them in half and add some honey and bake them for 10 min or rap them in a thinly sliced Parma ham or bake with gorgonzola and serve with a honey vinegar sauce.

Grapes: Italian grapes are wonderful at the moment ..they have a good amount of Vit C and Vit K, as well as  small amout of Vit B6 and thiamine.
